Business Link, which is now filtering the latest  business news from the government to businesses recently wrote about the advantanges of apprenticeship.

The Business Link information states:

Apprenticeships can help you:

  • achieve better motivated, multi-skilled employees that are enthusiastic about using their learning to enhance your business
  • focus staff development on the areas that your business really needs to develop and grow
  • make your business more effective, productive, profitable and competitive now and for the future.

Apprenticeships are made up of three parts:

  • key skills training to ensure your staff have the core competencies required to succeed in any workplace
  • a technical certificate to show that they understand the sector you work in and how it impacts on the work they do
  • a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) to show that your staff have the skills and knowledge they need to do their job effectively.

Courses last from nine months up to two years, with the majority of the learning taking place in the workplace – so your business benefits immediately!

You will receive support from a training provider or college to train and develop your staff in line with your business objectives.
